Has anyone done anything like this yet, an engine/tranny swap. I am also hearing that they may come out with a heavy duty in 2014. Looking forward on seeing that.

I heard, they were coming with one too. I read something on a blog somewhere that a company was testing injectors for a diesel engine for Nissan's truck in NA.

They need to get into as many markets as possible.

Chris from Nfabworks with the SAS 4wd titan. He's a friend and the owner of Nfabworks and he's doing some pretty interesting stuff to his in the coming months with a cummings diesel. When i hear any updates from him. I'll post pics and let you all know.

IMO, Dodge doesn't deserve Cummins. Could you imagine being able to buy a Cummins powered Titan off the showroom floor? It's probably the only way we'll get a reliable turbo in a Titan that works. http://domesticlugnuts.com/phpBB3/images/smilies/icon_rofl.gif

I agree, diversify.

I'd love to see more variety in Titan configurations. A diesel & some heavy duty Titans would be great !

Nissan did a study of the big three truck manufactures. Accourding to Nissan-Dodge built the strongest truck and was in the contract phase to build the 1/2 ton. The 3/4 and one ton trucks were going to be built by Nissan. The cargo van that is already built and in use in Mexico will see US service this year. Service bays have already been measured and those dealers who had racks that did not fit had to upgrade. Nissan will build there own diesel unless something changes again. One thought was that Nissan also gave Dodge the 1/2 ton contract for the Cummings.
