Still using the OEM system. http://domesticlugnuts.com/phpBB3/images/smilies/facepalm.gif

If I decide to mod the truck, I'm partial to Injen.

I had Injen. I just wanted something a little more quiet. Both perform the same. Plus, Banks isn't pulling the heat in from the engine compartment.

I've had several intakes on my truck lol

1st - S&B Intake - made my truck run a 16:1 AFR WOT
2nd - Volant Gen 2 - Pretty good intake, ran a little hot for me
3rd - Injen CAI - so far the tubing has stayed the coolest for me

Yes... The Banks runs just as cool as well.

Still factory ATM, but it's on my wishlist to do either a Banks, or Injen.

Jwt says run the plastic tubes if at all possible. Plastic tubing will cool off faster then hot metal tubing anyday. But the metal tube still show inprovement over stock so they do work. I would get the banks if it wasnt so much coin.

Though he's def right. Probably not a huge difference with the metal tube only running 1/4 mile with 4 inches of cool outside air being shoveled into the box. Also, I had DEI heatwrap on my AEM, that stuff worked great to keep the intake tune from getting hot....Now sitting in traffic with a metal tube will def raise the IAT

Yea it will be fine for the stip as long as you let it cool down between runs. And the heat rap is a very good idea.

My Injen black satin tube runs way cooler than my Volant tube. Any idea?

Not shure on that one, Injen has two model of intakes right? A steet verison and a off road verison?

I didnt say anything before but I was running Cipher on Injen and Banks, Banks came out 10-20° cooler. Nearly same conditions outside.

That sounds about right. Did they both gain the same amount of ° when setting in traffic? It that case the plastic should cool off quicker when you get back up to speed compared to the metal set up.

I wasnt testing in traffic, doing several 0-60mph runs.

So it was 10° to 20° cooler on the 0-60 runs? If so thats is insane.
