Default What kinda brake set-up are you running?

My Titan is an '04 with the 18" rims and i have EBC rotors on both axles. I have EBC Red Stuff pads in front and EBC Green Stuff pads in back. I changed the brake lines to SS braided brake lines and added ATE Super Blue Dot 4 racing brake fluid to the system. The truck stops like it has an anchor on all for sides. I had put some E-bay rotors and pads on before this set-up and it took about 2 months before they were warped and the judder had started again. So far i'm very happy with this set-up and the brake dust is almost non-existent. So lets hear what year your truck is and what brake set-up is working for you.

Yeah thats not really an option for the early trucks like mine. The stock brakes were the worst factory brakes i'd ever tried. They did stop initially but they were warped and the judder had begun within months of the truck being new. I'm not sure who tested these trucks before they were released but they evidentlly didn't use the brakes. LOL

The 04-05 brakes suck very much so. They covered it up on the 06-07 and fixed it on the 08's. I got 30K on mine T and not one problem with the brakes. That is something that should be on the mod list for any early titan's.

To be honest those look almost identical to my EBC Ultimax Slotted Rotors. I'm interested to know myself and what the price on those were. I paid $180.12 to my door for my EBC's for the front axle.

Our stock brakes do suck. I want to upgrade mine to something better, but i can't afford a BBK. Those Frozen rotor's look sweet!

To be honest, it's not a huge difference over the stock brakes. I know a lot of folks have complained about the brakes on the early model Titans, but mine were always good. Maybe my 05 got upgraded parts or something with the previous owner?

The main reason I went with the setup was because I had planned a whole list of performance mods, and I wanted to be sure the brakes were up to the job. Nearly two years later, and the only mod I have is a 2 degree timing advance. lol

Funny how those plans change when the money ain't there. If only my money were larger than my want list. LOL
