UHHHH yeah. You would honestly be lucky if you got over $5500 for it. I would do some major detailing before you would put it up for sale or checked on trading it in if that was an option. Generally they show you alot more than your actually getting on trade in deals. When i mean show you i mean the paperwork is fudged in a way that you think your getting a deal and then they fuck you without lube in the end.
This is pretty much my feeling too, but selling privately. I honestly think a dealer will give me less than $5k for it.
If I decide to sell, I'll get a thorough detailing and list it for $6500 locally and see what happens.
I'm just thankful I bought it used at a good price to begin with. Between the recession, gas prices and the poor resell value, there is no way I could ever buy a brand new Titan since I tend to change trucks every 5 years.
I just sold a '05 Civic in that same price range... What's wrong with the T???? If you were closer I'd take it!!
There's nothing really wrong with it. It needs a good detailing and maybe a set of headers. Otherwise, it's perfect.
The major strike against my truck is that it's a 2wd XE model, and not many people want a vehicle with manual windows and locks. It never bothered me though.
Also, the body damage lowers the price a bit more.
What really kills me is that you can search ebay for trucks in the $6k range, and most of them are 15+ year old trucks with less power, capability, reliability and interior room than my Titan. Just weird how a higher value is placed on inferior products. :Pshyco: I blame it on domestic fanboys who would rather push their broken domestic than drive an "import truck". http://domesticlugnuts.com/phpBB3/im...es/handjob.gif
Clicky Here for similarly priced trucks on ebay
For example, check out this truck:

It's 24 years old, with a smaller weaker engine that's carbed, a automatic with one less gear, broken AC and CC, torn seat and cracked dash, yet it's priced around what my Titan is worth?
Just looking through that ebay search makes me sick!!!
I checked Autotrader.. they still run for around 12-19K at the dealers..
Why don't you just keep it?
That's probably the smartest thing to do, especially since it's paid for.
I could mod the crap out of it and drive it until the wheels fall off. Depreciation is only a loss if I sell. :)
My dream truck would be a regular cab short bed with 400 or more hp, floor shifter and dark gray exterior. Similar to this:

I suppose the biggest issue I have with the Titan is it being a king cab and not a regular cab. This is also the only issue I can't easily address.
Why a regular cab? Performance, Looks, and Maneuverability. I know most folks like 4 door trucks, but to me, a 4 door truck is akin to a 4 door car; it can't be a sports car with 4 doors no matter how fast.
Hmm, wonder how much it would cost to chop my truck into a regular cab? :D
that hurts... looking at a tundra?
I was. But the whole Toyota recall thing over the acceleration issue has me shy on buying one. My other choice is a Ford Lightning.
My decision would be easier if I'd just hit the lotto. I'd keep the Titan and buy a Tundra and a L. Perhaps with a million or so dollars, I could be the first to get a reliable and functional turbo out there for the Titan. lol
