Getting front windows tinted

Know a guy that does tinting and does inspections, so I'm in the clear for that. My options are pretty much 15% or higher. I am a little centered on an 18% tint, but would like anyone with experience or that has theirs tinted how they like it

Mine were tinted by the previous owner. Not sure what type of tint it is, but it's probably borderline legal.

I love it though! I like my privacy when driving and it keeps the heat down in the summer.

I don't know how common this is but both front tints are scratched up. Some Titan Owners have solved this by adding or replacing the felt lining.
As far as tint, my fronts are a step lighter than the back. Cops are pretty strict here in L.A.

Yeah I'm tinting the front drivers and passenger windows, I'm not sure I want to touch the windshield haha. Lawfully, my tint is already at the darkest possible (30%), but i think i won't have many problems with 18% or 15%. Man I'd love to do 4% though that stuff looks sick on black titans!

yeah only thing that sucks about it is at night i have to roll the windows down to see to back up

damn, how did you get 4%. best i could do was 5%.

and im the same way, windaows gotta be down to back up.. and when turning left at big intersections, to avoid hitting the concrete sidewalk median, windows gotta crack a bit.

and i still want to put a 35% on the windshield

15% is the best match and felt is mando.

I had 5% for the front and back windows got a ticket and said screw it so i just have my back tinted now

Thanks for the comments and everything guys, they qouted me at $35 a window so I'm looking at $70 for what I want to do. You guys think it's a fair price or should I try to haggle it down a bit?

It's 50 down here, all around including windshield. That's up to you though.. if you can afford the tickets. CHPs are worse then the safety nazis! (OSHA) Lol. Haggle it! Worst case scenario.. you pay 70. lol

Quick thread jack question here! Is it possible to remove the current factory tint on our glass and place a new film on it? Or does everyone just overlay film on the glass as is?

Quick thread jack question here! Is it possible to remove the current factory tint on our glass and place a new film on it? Or does everyone just overlay film on the glass as is?

I believe the factory tinted glass is just that... tinted glass. There is no tint overlay on them. The only way is to replace the glass with a non tinted glass. Ever see an Armada or QX56 with no tint? There are some in the middle east and they look weird.
